I saw the pasta pro on tv and thought wow, why did it
take someone so long to think of this? I have always hated washing colanders.
It is not easy to wash and rinse something that is full of holes and the
colander just doesn't fit well in the dishwasher.
Ok, so the pasta pro is a wonderful idea and I am very
tempted to buy it, but I am suspect about the quality. I search the Internet
for reviews on the pasta pro and find my worst fears are right. I have read
many reviews that say the paint comes off the bottom and the coating inside
comes off after just one use. Still this is a wonderful idea so I search around
to find out if anyone else has a pasta pot designed like this. The results are
below and my choice is the Circulon. This is the most expensive one on the
page, but I own a full
set of Circulon pots and pans and they are well worth the
money. The seen on tv pasta pro is the cheapest but remember, you get what you
pay for. My second choice would be the Bialetti SpazioSystem Pasta Pot, the
price is reasonable and it has a 5 year warranty.
When you stop to think about it, you aren't going to do much but boil water and
noodles in a pasta pot. The Circulon is probably overkill since there isn't
much to clean up.
